Silly Dreams
First of all, before I start this post, I’d like to apologize to everyone for how little I’ve been around. I’m still trying to figure out this rib thing, but I am pretty sure that I have found the answer. I will post more about that when I’m more sure of what’s going on, but I really think I might know where I have to go.
Anyway, the past two nights, I had two pretty hilarious dreams. I usually have the best ones when I get too much sleep. That was the case for the past two nights.
Dream 1
I dreamt that I went to this gas station and this girl was just throwing out stuffed animals. I kept thinking how much she looked like Keri from Adventure Games, but she definitely wasn’t. One of the stuffed animals that she threw out was Amy Rose from Sonic Adventure. I remembered seeing this particular stuffed animal at the Bloomsburg Fair, but I did not win it. So then I drove to my house and there were all these cars pulling up and they were all my mom’s friends from when she was a teacher. Andy Marko, the retired superintendent of the school she worked at pulled up and said “Hi” and then went into my house. I was very puzzled and when I got inside, I found my house torn apart. I went upstairs looking for my dad and I went into the bathroom and there was this picture that was taken down from a wall in my bathroom that definitely does not exist behind the door and there was this small safe. My father came in and told me that my grandfather hid money in that safe, and there was a key hidden somewhere in the house, and that he wanted to find it. I think we were having money problems but he was afraid to say anything to me about it. I was all excited about this mystery that I had to solve, and I quickly ran downstairs and found the place where I thought this hidden key would be. Over my refrigerator was this crazy mural that definitely isn’t there for real, and there were figurines imbedded in this mural. It looked really old. I held up a mirror and reflected light onto the mural and a message of text showed up. I couldnt’ read it, and I told everyone there to try to read it, but the light went away and the message was lost. My cats were walking around on the floor, including Nellie, who died back in June, and I was very happy to see him and I hugged him. I love when I dream about someone who has died, because it feels like they’re visiting me in my dreams or something. After my reunion with Nellie, my father decided to rip the wall off that had the weird mural on it. Behind it was a very creepy secret room, filled with cobwebs and forgotten things. I had many dreams in my life where I found a secret room in my house, so I said “This looks just like the secret rooms from my dreams.” Upon waking up, that statement struck me as very funny, because this was just another secret room in another of my dreams. I woke up after the secret room part, and then I went into the bathroom to verify that there was no safe behind the door.
Dream 2
I keep having dreams about Otakon because of how angry I am that my rib condition kept me from having a good time. I’m extremely happy in the dreams because I’m getting a second chance to enjoy Otakon, even though I know there’s no way that’s going to happen and that I’ll have to wait until next year. Anyway, I dreamt we went back there, and I don’t remember what was going on at Otakon, but I know that Jim from the Office was supposed to be there, and I was determined to meet him. Larry was mad at me and I tried to explain to him that I really wanted to meet him because I love the show, and that I wasn’t going to run off with him. So, it was a monday night and Larry had to go to class (Apparently in my dreams, Otakon is held in Wilkes-Barre). Larry went to class and I went back to Otakon, which was also, for some reason, held in this run down building called The Murray Complex, which I think might even be condemned now. I went in there and there was a giant pool. I looked into the center of the pool, and there was John Krasinski, the guy who plays Jim from the Office, standing in the water, dressed up as a lifeguard. I went over to talk to him and he was really really nice to me. He was volunteering as a lifeguard for some reason. Then I started talking to this other kid and Jim went away to do lifeguarding things. After this, I realized I should have given him a business card or something for Kappacino Creations so they could use it on the show. I kept trying to find him, but he was busy every time I looked over. Finally there was this one part where they drained the pool and everyone had to get out. I guess it was like the “daily pool draining” which seemed very normal to everyone in the dream. One guy said, “If you break the bottom of this pool, nothing will happen, cause like, there’s more water underneath” … even in my dream that statement made no sense.
It was time for Larry to get out of class, so I gave up and I walked outside and met up with him.. For some reason he took his car home, and then I also took his car home, and Gill got in the car with me, and we got in an accident in like five minutes. The person who hit us was this truck whose license place read GBBQ. I forget the company name, but I followed him around the city until I wrote down his information. The city was now Baltimore and we were lost. I decided that I needed to get back to Otakon because I wanted to try to talk to Jim some more. Gill and I parked the car and decided to go on foot. We got extremely lost and stopped at some restaurant to ask for directions. The guy at the restaurant kept trying to get us to eat there, and wouldn’t help us. Finally, we found someone who gave us a map and tried to get back to the convention. That was when I woke up.
So, yeah, those were some weird dreams.
